What Is True Peace?

What does “peace” mean to you?

Is it simply the absence of conflict? Is it a life lived without fear? Humanity has waited a long time for “true peace” to come.

What does “true peace” really look like? And how can it come to this world?

The answer was hidden within the very letters of the word “peace” (平和).

When we unravel the character 平 (hei) — the horizon — it points to tranquility and a fair, balanced world, like duckweed floating quietly on the surface of the water.

The character 和 (wa) combines 禾 (a grain that has grown to maturity) and 口 (a mouth, representing a person). Together, they describe a person who has grown to spiritual maturity.

In other words, “peace” (平和) is a world realized through people who have grown in this way.

So what does it mean to “grow”? It means learning God’s word, awakening to the truth, receiving God’s love, and letting one’s soul mature.

It means receiving the Holy Spirit, refining one’s character and gifts, and living a righteous life. That is what 和 – “a person who has grown” – truly means.

I also noticed that the “mouth” (口) I had drawn resembled the “R” of RAPT, the central figure of this age, and even the number “12,” recalling the twelve disciples.

In other words, 和 represents the righteous who have grown by following God.

And 平 represents the peace that flows from Heaven down to Earth. The Only Begotten Son descends to this earth, the returning Christ appears, and today’s Adam and Eve carry on his will.

Through their mouths comes God’s Word, carried by the work of the Holy Trinity. As this Word of love and truth spreads from the righteous across the world, “true peace — Heaven on Earth” will come.

Genesis tells us: “And God said, ‘Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.’ So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it.”

Read in this light, 平 seems to resemble duckweed floating on the waters above the heavens – the order and peace of that heavenly realm flowing down to the earth below.

Through God’s love, truth is delivered, and peace of heart together with heaven’s law spreads across this earth.

“Those who follow God are blessed; those who do not become unhappy.” Within this law, each person who lives righteously can dwell amid blessings like those of heaven, while evil is destroyed one after another. In this way, “true peace – heaven on earth” is realized.

I experienced a miracle: just days after he was born, my baby son spoke the words “AI” (love) and “HEIWA” (peace). Later, I encountered the RAPT blog and came to know the depth of God’s love for humanity.

This world today is distorted by the desires and control of the wicked. That is exactly why what is needed is the presence of righteous people who follow God and live by the truth. As their number grows, true peace will become reality.

Learning God’s word and coming to know the truth through the RAPT blog – that is the first step toward guiding this world to peace.

I sincerely pray that, by walking together with God, true peace – heaven on earth – will be realized on this earth, and that more and more righteous people who know this truth and walk with God will be born and live in happiness.
